PEMEX – AKAL

EPCI

First EPCI in the bay of Campeche.

The Cantarell field complex is the second largest producing oil field in Mexico and one of the largest in the world. Located 80km offshore in the Bay of Campeche – Gulf of Mexico, the Cantarell complex comprises four major fields: Akal (by far the largest), Nohoch, Chac and Kutz. The Telford 34 was called on a large EPCI project on this famous brownfield development by Pemex, the Mexican state-owned petroleum company.

Over the year 2013, the Telford 34 (ex Jascon 34) executed the brownfield AKAL project for Pemex in the Bay of Campeche, Gulf of Mexico. This EPCI project incorporated the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of pipelines between the AKAL platforms CI-E-N-L, and the required platform extensions on all topsides facilities.
