Providing technical and operational support to marine operations department by assisting with vessel maintenance, repairs, and inspections, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with safety regulations. Provide administrative support for the Vessels Superintendents.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date vessels certification and documentation including flag and class certificates and ensures it is available in a timely and comprehensive manner.
- Uploading/downloading documents/drawings into Classification Society (ABS) portal for ABS Approval and updating the ABS database.
- Publish documents in SharePoint.
- Managing company OCIMF website, raising inspection requests.
- Assist in supporting tender technical documentation submission.
- Assist in supporting Procurement and Logistics Department.
- Point of contact for Flag state and Classification Society, ensure all documentation and certification for the vessels are up to date and in place.
- In charge of the vessel communications arrangement for the Company’s fleet, i.e. GMDSS, LRIT, SSAS.
- Filing electronically of all Technical Department documents.
- Ensures to understand and act in compliance with Telford policies and procedures.
- Uphold and promote HSEQ standards by adhering to health and safety policies, minimizing environmental impact, ensuring quality compliance, and contributing to continual improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as directed by Telford Offshore line management from time to time.
Key Qualifications/Experience:
- Extensive work experience within the oil & gas and maritime sector.
- Knowledge of the shipping and maritime industry, particularly with respect to vessels.
- Understanding of vessel types, regulations, and best practices is essential.
- Experience with electronic document management systems, such as SharePoint.
- Proficient with relevant software or systems used for vessel tracking, scheduling, and another operational task.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Vessel Superintendent
About the job
Responsible for managing and ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the assigned DP vessels within the fleet. Acts as a liaison between onshore management and shipboard personnel.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with company standards, international regulations, governing bodies, and industry best practices.
- Ensure the vessel’s class, flag and statutory certification is compliant and in date.
- Liaise closely with the vessels’ Masters and Chief Engineers to ensure the vessels machinery and equipment are operated efficiently and maintained to company standard.
- Manage dry-dockings, repairs and major maintenance planning, budgeting and execution.
- Liaise directly with vessel clients to offer technical solutions and support.
- Assist Operations Manager in the preparation of the vessels yearly R&M Opex budget.
- Guide and assist Supply Chain department and provide technical expertise as required.
- Support offshore crew as the first line of contact for matters pertaining to the vessel or client contract.
- Ensure the vessel is crewed to flag state, client, and Telford requirements. Liaise and assist the Crewing department for vessel crew related matters including scheduling and crew change.
- Responsible for approving vessel parts requests via StarFSM procurement system.
- Assist Finance Department by reviewing invoices, monitoring and advising of potential large expenditure.
- Work closely with the Star IPS Coordinator to ensure the planned maintenance systems is kept up to date and operating efficiently.
- Site visits, inspections and audits required occasionally.
