Bridging Gas Fields in Shallow Waters.
The Sonam Development is a natural gas and production field which commenced production in 2017. The Sonam field is located in shelf concession OML 91, Escravos Area, offshore Nigeria, in water depths ranging from 7m around the Okan field to 66m at the Sonam area. The Telford 25 supported the project development of Sonam connecting the field to existing facilities.
In 2016, the Sonam Development Project for Chevron Nigeria Ltd. was successfully completed. The scope consisted of the installation of a 32km 20inch pipeline between the Sonam and Okan fields as well as a Pig Receiver Platform including jacket and bridge at the Okan end of the pipeline. Telford 30 (ex Jascon 30) and Telford 25 (ex Jascon 25) were called on to execute the various workscopes.
